Linda Parker has been a Naturopath/Herbalist in private practice for 13 years.

She graduated from Nature Care College in Sydney (the oldest Natural Therapies College in Australia) in 1996, where she received the prize for “Most Outstanding Student of Botanical Medicine” and was awarded a full herbal dispensary by Mediherb.

Linda is also qualified in Nutrition, Homoeopathy, Medical Herbalism, Naturopathy, Iridology, Reiki, Counselling, Quantum Bioenergetic Healing and Remedial Massage Therapy.

Linda grew up with many health problems. Starting with recurring tonsillitis she was also allergic to different foods, pollens and animals. She suffered 12 years of chronic asthma followed by 14 years of unexplained skin rashes from head to toe and then Chronic Fatigue Syndrome to top it all off!

After many years of visiting different skin specialists and a range of powerful prescription drugs, Linda’s condition only became worse. When in her late twenties, Linda was working as an Events Organiser to raise funds for HopeTown Special School (a school for mildly intellectually handicapped children) and it was there that she made a spontaneous decision. She had had enough of stress and ill-health...she tossed in her job and went back to full-time study of Naturopathy. For the next 4 years studying and researching her illness became her lifeline back to wellness. Her illness became her obsession and healing others became her passion and life mission. She ended up diagnosing herself and found she had urticaria and an allergy to aluminium (found in deodorants) and other heavy metals. It took her two years to remove these heavy metals from her body and regain full wellness using natural medicine.

"Over the years Linda has written regularly for health publications such as The Melbourne Weekly, New Idea, Woman’s Day, the Telegraph, Qantas Magazine and others. She has also appeared on radio." After 9 years practising in her Macquarie Naturopathic Clinic in Sydney’s CBD, Linda gave up the hectic rat race of Sydney and moved to Melbourne. She then opened another clinic called Melbourne Natural Wellness Clinic in Collins Street. This beautiful and peaceful clinic was built up to include over 14 excellent practitioners and staff. Next came the desire to write a book on chronic skin conditions which is what Linda specialises in. So she sold the business (which still runs successfully today) to complete the book "The Skin Program...How to Heal Your Skin Problems Naturally, in 8 Easy Steps", and also took up painting. The book is currently being published and due to be released in February 2010.
